The following information is from the student leader:
The Math Competition Club is an attempt to help students explore math outside of school curriculum and to prepare them for a few upcoming math competitions. Varying difficulties of questions have been prepared, so there is no prerequisite skill. The questions are challenging just enough for students to feel accomplishment after solving them. Furthermore, whenever a member is stuck in a question, other members are more than happy to help you and guide you step by step.
The meeting is on every Sunday in room 17. See you there!

- Questions will be sorted by question types to make understanding easier
- Provide worked solutions
- Solutions created/modified by the leadership crew so that the students can understand the solutions better

- To increase interest in math concepts
- Discussions about mathematical concepts/topics
- Further discussions on competition questions so that students can explore the question and discover ways to solve them
- Unique questions to challenge students and allow them to discover interest in a variety of areas

- To explore math skills beyond the level of textbooks
- Not being limited to textbook scenarios; overall, the math competition questions help achieve this.
- Sessions of individual research and presentation
- To find the joy of solving difficult math questions through the feeling of achievement.
- The questions are hard because they are taken from the math competitions, but students would definitely feel achieved and interesting after solving it which leads to love math more.
- To expose students to how math is done on a higher level.
- The competition questions and other independent investigations will allow students to experience mathematics as it is done in university, with a focus on proofs and useful techniques.
- Engage in group discussion and teamwork
- Sometimes attendees will be split into multiple groups in order to solve a particularly difficult problem. Attendees will learn from their peers, and improve their math skills in the process.
